The San Diego Padres announced on Tuesday (Feb. 20) that Go Woo-seok has been removed from the roster for the Major League Baseball season opener.

Go signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with San Diego prior to this season. The contract included a mutual option for a 2026 extension.

He didn’t have a great start to the season. In five games, he posted a 12.46 ERA.
