LG Twins’ Park Hae-min has reached 400 career stolen bases.

Park went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one walk, one RBI, and one run scored while starting in center field in the eighth inning against Doosan at Jamsil Stadium on April 21. He also added three stolen bases to reach 400.

Trailing 2-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Park led off with a single to right and stole second on Ahn Ik-hoon’s single. He then scored the tying run on an infield grounder to third base.

In the eighth inning, Park Hae-min walked and stole second base on four pitches from Kim Bum-seok. It was the 399th stolen base of his career. On a two-ball, two-strike at-bat, Park tried to steal third base on the fifth pitch, but Kim hit a foul ball. On the sixth pitch, he stole third base for his 400th career stolen base.

Park became the fifth player in history to reach 400 stolen bases, joining Jeon Jun-ho (549), Lee Jong-beom (510), Lee Dae-hyung (505), and Jeong Soo-geun (474).

Park won the stolen base title for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2018. From 2014 to this year, he recorded 20 stolen bases in 11 consecutive years, tying him with Jung Geun-woo for the most.

Park added three more stolen bases on the day, surpassing the 30-steal 토토사이트 순위 mark for the first time in three years. With 32 stolen bases, he ranks fourth in the league. The top spot is held by Doosan’s Cho Su-sung (45 stolen bases).

“When I ran from second to third base (in the eighth inning), I knew I had one left, so I ran because I wanted to do it quickly,” Park said after the game. “There were some things I wanted to do at home, but I thought I might not be able to do it like the ninth, so I thought I should do it quickly while I could,” he said.

At the beginning of the season, he had 20 steals in 33 games through the end of April. In May and June, he stole just six bases in 50 games. In July, he added six more steals in 12 games. “This is the kind of baseball I can play,” Park said. ”There was a time when I had a lull (in stolen bases), but I feel like I’m at the point where I can play again. I’m happy to be able to play my own kind of baseball.”

He’s looking at 500 stolen bases. “The sooner the better,” Park said, ”so I’d like to do it by next year or the year after next. I’m getting older, and eventually I need to prove myself at the plate so I can get on base and steal bases, so I need to stay on the field without getting hurt. I think if you take care of your hitting, that period of time can get shorter and shorter.”

He’s been hitting well of late. In six games, he is 7-for-18 with seven RBIs and a 3-for-8 slugging percentage. “I think I’m getting better,” Park said. The hits keep coming and the results are coming. I’ve been feeling better and better since I started practicing. The coach told me a lot of things to help me, and I think I’ve gotten better since meeting with him. I think I can do a little better if I don’t falter and keep pushing like I am now.”
