Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Wins Evos Icon

Evos Icon, who won the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang category for the first time, reflects on the tough competition and vows to participate in the next tournament.

On the third day of World Cyber Games 2023 Busan (WCG 2023 Busan), an international esports event held at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu, Busan, Korea, Evos Icon won the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang final with a set score of 3-2 against Echo Proud.

Here’s a post-match interview with Evos Icon Manager Brickell Malone Maitimu, Sentius “Barnstormer” Ivan Adriato and Head Coach Tessista Caleb.

How does it feel to win this event?
Adriato ‘Barnstrength‘: It was a tough match because we weren’t prepared enough, but we managed to take an early lead and eventually win. I’m proud of the whole team.
Coach Caleb: I knew it was going to be a tough match, but the team did a great job. I’m proud of them.
Manager Maitimu: I thought we were a good team, so I was looking forward to it. It means a lot to me to be the first team to win a world championship.

What was your toughest match on the way to the final?
Adriato ‘Vanstrong’: The final against Echo Proud was the toughest match. Both teams were equally skilled, so it was a battle to the end, and I think we got lucky.

What strategy did you prepare for the final, and which players did you consider to be key players?
Caleb: We had some idea of their strategy, and we knew what to expect from Banpik, so we had a good flow. The player I was expecting was our captain, Barnstrength, because he’s good at mind control and he’s a fun player to watch.

You were up 2-0 and then conceded the equalizer. How did you try to overcome the crisis?
Adriato ‘Anti-Strong’: I felt anxious, but I tried to stay calm and focus like I always do, and I used mind control to win.

In that intense fifth set, what were the circumstances that gave you the confidence to win?
Adriato ‘Barnstorm’: I didn’t know the outcome 바카라 until the very end, but the moment I won the last lord fight, I knew I was going to win.

How much confidence does this win give you in your team, and would you participate in the next WCG if it were held again?
MightyMoo Manager: I’ve always believed in the team and will continue to do so. I’ll have to talk to the other officials about participating in the next tournament, but I would definitely participate if given the opportunity.

Lastly, would you like to say hello to your fans?
Coach Caleb: I want to thank everyone for their support, and I hope to see you next time.
Adriato ‘Barnstrength’: Thank you for your support and we will come back bigger and better next time.
