The Manager Sutton Resigns Due to Health Reasons

Coach Larry Sutton (53)

who led the professional baseball Lotte Giants

resigned due to deteriorating health.

The Lotte club announced on the 28th

Director Sutton expressed his gratitude after the KT game on the 27th for reasons of health.

After consideration

the club decided to respect Sutton’s wishes.

Former manager Sutton

who played as a player in the KBO League 안전놀이터 from 2005 to 2007

took office as Lotte 2nd team manager in October 2019 and continued his relationship with the KBO League again.

who had been nurturing players in the Futures (second group) league

took over as first-team manager in May 2021 at the same time as former Lotte manager Heo Moon-hoe was sacked.

Coach Sutton missed the resignation against SSG on the 17th due to health reasons

and on the 27th

he went to the baseball field and returned home immediately and missed the game.

 Currently

Lotte is ranked 7th in the league with 50 wins and 58 losses (0.463 win rate).

Lotte will play the remaining 46 games by appointing head coach Lee Jong-woon as acting manager from the match against Hanwha in Daejeon on the 29th.
