Governor Baker’s Plan to Legalize Sports Gambling in Massachusetts

Today, Governor Charlie Baker announced plans to introduce legislation that would allow people in Massachusetts to gamble on professional sports. The proposal would take advantage of existing regulatory structures for game permits in Massachusetts, including the Massachusetts Game Commission (MGC) enforcement authority, a ban on anyone under the age of 21, and punishment for various violations. 파워볼게임

“Expanding Massachusetts’s developing gaming industry to include bets on professional sports is an opportunity for the state to invest in local aid while remaining competitive with many other states seeking similar regulations,” said Governor Baker. “Our bill lays out a series of commonsense proposals to thoroughly investigate potential licensees and establish safeguards to protect them from problem gambling and illegal activities. We look forward to working with colleagues in Congress to bring this bill into law.”
