The Virgin Mary does not. “The church is staying,” Mickey Brown, president and CEO of Seneca Niagara Casino, said with a smile in the conference room behind his office. “God is staying. He is exempt.”
Buildings are rising in multiple frames along the charts, and some are getting closer to reality: Nearby, a 26-story, 600-room hotel is scheduled to start construction in April. The city expects Seneca Nation’s work to transform the city center, and if Brown’s first year suggests, the rest of the structures will be built within a set time frame. 파친코
Brown, the former president and CEO of Foxwood Resort Casino, has drawn on Foxwood’s experience in getting things done quickly and applying to new facilities since he took charge of the game just over a year ago. Under Brown, the main building of Seneca Niagara Casino was acquired and converted into a gaming facility in just over 100 days.
“The lessons I learned (at Foxwood) helped me get here on schedule and open,” Brown said. “I’ve done it before, so it’s easier to do it a second time.” Seneca Niagara attracts tens of millions of visitors each year from a few blocks away, though it draws from a smaller and less populated area than Foxwood. But most visitors are international visitors, and casino executives say their customers tend to come from nearby Rochester and Buffalo.
“We will be destination resorts with people coming to see existing attractions,” he said. “And there is absolute support from the community, which is the difference. People want us to be here and they like us to be here. They are good for us.”
