Jethro, who may finally be able to achieve his casino dream

Most people will remember Max Baer Jr. as Jed Clampett’s adorable but clumsy niece on the hit television show Beverly Hillbilly. Jetro Bordin may have had a limited mindset, but Max Baer Jr. has always reached for stars. After the show was canceled, Bear began producing films and digging into other areas. He has been working on building a theme-based casino complex since 1985. He came up with the idea of casinos based on popular shows and has been working towards that goal ever since.
In 1991, Bear was able to purchase the show’s re-licensing rights, including food and beverage rights, from its current owner, CBS. He started his gambling empire in 1999 with 65 themed slot machines installed in 10 casinos. He has suffered setbacks along the way since he worked on establishing and developing the entire casino/hotel complex.

In 2003, bear tried to develop a property in Carson City, Nevada, but disputes over building laws arose as well as neighboring developers. Bear finally gave up the place and sold the property in 2007. But he wanted to stay within the area, and he bought another property in nearby Douglas County, just outside the city. He paid $1.2 million for the 2.5 acre site and plans to add another 20 acres to the site once he secures the necessary zoning. 바카라사이트

One of his toughest battles with the acquisition was to get the green light for a giant oil Derek sign symbolizing oil wealth as the head of the Beverly Hillbillies. He had two offers rejected in the past year, but was finally granted a change to the latest sign offer. The final one approved allows for oil derrick designs with two sign faces. The sign will be 90 feet tall and will have a total area of 617 square feet. The Douglas County Board granted approval on Bear’s 71st birthday.
